Derived from where the ball is played

Spatial Intelligence

The score says who won. Spatial intelligence says who was really in control.

Possession and shots miss the shape of a match. We measure where passes, tackles and interceptions happen and turn that into three plain measures: who owns the territory, whether the press works, and how high a team defends. They sit beside our probabilities and indicators, so a forecast arrives with the reason behind it.

Where this stands

Measuring has just started. The first matches are being tracked now, and a team’s recent profile appears once it has 5 tracked matches. Until then, only the match itself is shown, and only where position data exists.

Three measures that change how you read a match

Field tilt

Which team is playing in the other team’s end.

Each team’s share of all final-third passes in the match. 50% is level. A team can have less of the ball and still own the territory.

Pressing efficiency (PEI)

Whether a press actually wins the ball.

Balls won through tackles and interceptions in the opponent’s build-up zone, for every 100 opponent passes there. We also report passes allowed per defensive action (PPDA). Lower PPDA means more pressing.

Defensive line height

How high up the pitch a team defends.

The average pitch position of a team’s tackles and interceptions. Compare it with the opponent’s attackers and with the team’s own recent profile.

Our rules

Derived outputs only

You get rates, shares and indexes. We do not publish an event feed, player positions or a replay of the match.

Hidden beats invented

A metric appears only when its sample is large enough. Otherwise it is left out, never estimated.

Direction is measured, not assumed

We work out which way each team attacks in each half from where it shoots. Until that is clear, the half does not count.

Coverage is stated

Position data exists only for matches with full coverage. A match without it simply has no spatial section.

Build with it

One call returns the match metrics and each team’s recent profile. The same data is available to AI agents through the MCP server, and the written brief on every match page draws on it.
